Uncertain future for Severn Valley Railway 08

D3022 (former 08015) based at the Severn Valley Railway and owned by the Class 08 Society faces an uncertain future. Purchased by the society in 1983, the locomotive has been a vital member of SVR’s diesel fleet – in latter years being regularly seen in and around Kidderminster station. In 1985 it even deputised for a failed 4930 ‘Hagley Hall’.

Trevor Davies from the Class 08 Society is eager to get in touch with anyone involved with the locomotive’s purchase in order to discuss its future and enable informed decisions to be made. Trevor can be contacted at t_davies_17@hotmail.co.uk

Severn Valley Railway volunteers (plus volunteers from many other railways) feature in this best selling book, which was awarded ‘Book of the Month’ in Best of British magazine: https://www.chimewhistle.co.uk/shop/p/dirt-soot-and-smoke
